Hollywood Hopping

13 hard-chargers sallied forth on a pleasantly crisp morning to bask in the glory of Navy's recent victory over the trade school on the Hudson River.  With the remake of Midway playing at the movies, the theme was the Navy's finest hour… the Pacific island hopping campaign.  In fact we hopped to all the strategically importantHollywood islands.

First we moseyed to the Rubbermaid parking lot (Kwajalein) for warm-o-rama.

Then we took a quick trip to the hill for some hill work.

Then we hopped to a big rock pile (Guam) for some rock work.

Then we hustled to a cinder block pile (Tarawa) for a parnter flap-jack plank/lift battle.

Then we shipped out to the ramp (Iwo Jima) to get up the mountain.

Then back to the main island to see to the surrender.

All in all we put in 1.94 miles, an enormous amount of Americans, some mobility, a bunch of upper body work, some lunges, some abs, etc etc etc.

Ye olde moleskine:

Deep Dish was especially dashing today in his 1950's-ish cottony gym suit wonderfulness.  A+ for the Dish-ster.

Lawn Dart and Stapler get big props for attendance and taking their lumps for our Army pals.  BZ.  Same for Die Hard who had to endure the inevitable Air Force'isms.

Jersey Boy's tea = Rocket's low-albumin urine.  Interesting.

Hat Trick was driving on his own today, and was running ahead of schedule.

Security guard "Right Said Fred" was bundled for the cold today, and like Deep Dish he was especially dashing.

BZ to Jersey Boy for going over some dietary gouge during FUEL.
