An ominous #PB drew some Pax to Fartlek today (Frogger, Tantrum, etc.) while also keeping some away (98 Degrees).
Here is roughly what went down for 13 Pax at Fartlek:
0529: The rules of the "game" are as follows:
- Run on Wynfield Creek Parkway until you hit Gilead Road. Run back on the same road. That's it, easy route! And would only be ~3 miles total. But…
- Supplement with any side street you want (1 turn only). However…
- Someone can "hunt" you and try to beat you to the end of the street and back to the main road. If that happened, you did 50 Mericans.
- But if "the hunted" actually won the race, the "hunter" owed 60 Mericans.
Recover, recover. Mileage varied from ~4 miles to ~6 miles.
Moleskin:
- We prayed for continued healing for our friend Fenway and Crab Leg's wife Jennifer.
- Speaking of Fenway, he picked up Megaphone during the run. Nice! Strong work today gents.
- And speaking of Crab Legs, thanks for the opportunity to lead today. Apologies if some of us didn't get the usual ~10k worth of mileage.
- Tagless started the game by turning left first on Parkcrest Street. YHC wanted to set the tone for everyone and attempted to chase him.
- Later…Tagless would get his revenge forcing YHC to do 50 Mericans. I won't say how many sets it took me to do 50…but it was greater than 1.
- Toxic commented that YHC needs to go to more bootcamps to fix that. Duh! Oh, we also know what we're getting Toxic for Christmas.
- We got Mac & Cheese off the "Kotters" list. Good to see you bud, looking trim!
- Tantrum mixed in some sand-bagging and fast running into his strategy today. We agreed this was a fun change up but could use a few tweeks. This is something we'll probably bring back in a Co-Q.
- Ran with Jorel for a bit and we mutually agreed not to inflict Mericans on each other. (Wait, did I just admit to cheating at my own game?)
- Ultraman and Frogger just did their thing and got a bunch of miles…and were probably not challenged by anyone. Next time!
- Didn't see much of Burgoo and Die Hard which means they were simply crushing some miles as usual.
Aye gents. You all worked hard today so I don't plan to kill anyone in a Jigsaw like fashion.
"He lives".
