I guess it’s a bit of a sports theme.. Go Deebo, Go Niners

Everything was a bit off this morning, but we did it. YHC felt off waking up, Birkdale threw us for a loop with the new construction / lack of parking, and there is no great place to circle up in front of Starbucks anymore.

We all missed Nair, who was an HC, but made the mistake of looking at his emails early in the morning.

Here is the rundown:

Long mosey past the runners to pick up any stragglers before heading to the parking lot in front of Dick's.

All veterans in the group – typical warm up to start. Then down to business:

  • Gather in corner of parking lot and introduction of the Deebo – named after Deebo Samuel's one legged hop off the field at the end of the playoff game last week. Deebo happens to be one of my YHC's favorite players and the Niners are my favorite team – root accordingly this weekend!
  • Hop half length of parking lot on left leg, Bobby Hurley side shuffle across the lot, Deebo on right leg back the half length of parking, then Bobby Hurley shuffle back to start. 10 burpees + Muhammed Ali's + multiple core exercises 20x IC.
  • Repeato, except swap Bobby Hurleys with karaoke.

Can't say the Deebo was a fan favorite, lots of guys pretending they are too old and skipping instead. By skipping I mean, skip to the Lou my darling type skipping.. not doingnothing at all. Modify where necessary, I guess.

Mosey to parking deck closest to the Movie Theater. While moseying we got to listen to Crocs try to come up with musical references for Mr Holland that have multiple meanings, such as plucking the G string and playing the flute. Mr Holland informed he does not teach the flute.

Once we hit the deck, we did 3 rounds of the following:

  • Quadrifilia up the deck and perform chest / murican exercise at top, run across deck touch wall and come back down for 10 burpees, followed by multiple core exercises 20x IC.
  • Repeato 3x

Couple of call-outs on the day

  • Thanks to Estwing + Red O for helping with the time today, as YHC forgot a watch (told you I was off).
  • Great seeing AM-PM out in the gloom this morning, becoming more of a regular
  • Great to see Mayhem afterward at coffee, he posted for 4 Banger. Also, THE Professor apparently posted at the General.
  • Missed seeing Nair, oh wait, I already said that
  • I hope everyone was happy we did the glute bridge and mobility moment, even though Rodeo wasn't Qing
  • HSB had his Calloway hoodie on – an ode to his golfing days
  • Pit Stop continues to show up and show out, while Camelback manages expectations by pretending to be able to do about half of what he is capable of
  • Prayers up for Mr Hollands family and Blackberry as they deal with loss of family members.
  • Blackberry lost his mother – there is a meal train sign up here to help his family as they get through this difficult time: https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/z2m61o
