I Knew You Were Trouble When You Walked In

In celebration of another epic Taylor Swift concert this weekend, a GK Monday record crowd of "22" (another TSwizzle classic) gathered for beginning of the week foolishness.  After Ditka's "ring of fire" beatdown last week, YHC vowed to stay away from the track, but the pain was nevertheless the same.  To wit:

Warm up- snuck in 10 burpees to get the blood flowing ("All You Gonna Be is Mean").

Round 1- CVS bear crawl, 20 WWII situps at corner, jog back to front of library, 10 decline merkins, repeato 3x.

Jog to parking lot behind Davidson Admissions.  Only P'Diddy and Ball Bearing were smart enough to know where that is.

Round 2- YHC promised up front that this was going to suck, and it did. ("Now You Got Bad Blood").  4 laps, 5 burpees at the far end and near end, for a total of "40" (great U2 song, but I digress).

Jog to parking lot behind Fire Station.

Round 3- 4 laps, 20 squats behind FS, 20 merkins at front of Town Hall.  At this point, lots of grumbling about my anger, mistreatment by the ruthless Mrs. Khan, etc.  Dr. Mary Kay took his shirt off, exposed his tatooed brick s-house physique, then asked for Mrs. Khan's email, which I pretended not to hear.

Jog back to front of green for Mary and the obligatory JLo finale. "Today Was A Fairytale."

COT-  great group today.  Lot of great work and good comedy, which is always a good combo on a Monday.  We lifted up Canuck who is going under the knife today, Stumpjumper's cousin, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, and all parents who have kids reentering school this week.  Never forget how lucky we all are to have our health, our families and the ability to get together at insane hours in the morning.  Have a great week.
