Main Event
Triple Nickel is one I have borrowed several times from my brother, Mermaid. We did it 2X today and adjusted for inflation…..meaning we increased the # of exercise reps from 5X to 10X.
Find a hill. Launch from bottom with 10X called exercise at bottom. Run to top of hil for 10X called exercise. Repeat 5 times. Normally that would be 5 reps at the bottom, 5 at the top 5 times through (5/5/5).
Set #1: Launch from entrance to clubhouse parking lot, run left of the hill to the top of the first cul de sac on the left. Bottom – 10 X merkins. Top – 10 X leg lifts
Set # 2: Launch from first cul de sac on left out of clubhouse, run to top of hill (where path to boat launch starts). Bottom – 5 reps of 4X4 (Burpees with 4X merkins and 4X mountain climbers while in down position). Top – WWII X 10.
~3.5 miles running. We have the good fortune of some long steep hills in the hood. ~5 miles for Pinky and Germantor with the run to and from. Good work fellas.
Moleskin
- Lots of good discussion during the workout…..mainly focused on those not in attendance.
- Solid beach trips for Q and Germanator the prior week.
- Could have been a few stories told from the Ville to Ville race.
- Yellow / Chartreuse was the color of the day. Germantor has a matching quarter-zip, sock set he found somewhere. Throw in Q's matching shirt and shoes along with some yellow for Pinky and you had a theme going.
- Prayers for lots with a focus on some mother-in-laws….Surf, Pinky and Germanator.
