Hipster is the 1stF Q for Sweatshop and once a month he schedules a Mystery Q. It's fun watching the chatter on Slack as they try to figure out who it is. For me, it's always an honor to go back to my humble beginnings to Q at Sweatshop and I don't think it was that big of a surprise when I showed up as the Q.
Warmup
Buy In Burpee – Flatley started mouthing off about doing a bunch of burpees the other night so the normal Buy In Burpee became Buy In Burpees. Not sure how many we did but it was more than 5 and less the 110. After this, it was the standard warm-up of SSH's, IST's, & Windmills.
The Thang

Next, we moseyed to Roosevelt Wilson Park, circled up again and completed two rounds of the following:
- SQUATS – 5 IC FAST
- PLANK – 10 COUNT
- SQUATS – 10 IC

Then it was a slowish mosey back to The Green. When we got to The Green we were oh so fortunate to find Gnarly Goat sitting in one of the Adirondack chairs reading a magazine. I thought he would jump up and join us, so after paying the proper respect we made out way to the front of the library for Mary. LBC's x 25 IC and Heels to Heaven x 20 IC, I looked over and Goat was happily reading his magazine so we made our way to his comfortable spot and guilted him into leading us in the last exercise of his choosing: J-Lo's. It was a treat for the Sweatshop regulars as they have not heard the signature Goat cadence and he definitely was on top of his game. Thank you, Goat!
Moleskin
- Instead of saying In Cadence, I used Inside Cadence, which I stole from Finger Lickin' Good. This created some confusion and quite a bit of mumblechatter. The best part is, Flatley has the Q tomorrow and whether he realizes it or not, he is going to say Inside Cadence at some point!
- There was some debate as to the difference between HIgh Flutter and Scissor Kicks. I explained the High flutters were really Low Flutters but your feet are higher of the ground and that Scissor Kicks are moving your leg from about 6 inches off the ground to as high as you can go. If you feel differently, feel free to post something in the comment section (I won't read it)
- I give the Sweatshop pax a lot of grief! They don't just kick me out of the Slack channel, they deactivate my membership! Of course, some of them know I love the Sweatshop not only because I am a Sweatshop OG but it's become a tough workout and they're a tight-knit group that covers all 3 F's at every workout.
- I'm always humbled to lead and a little more so with this group of men #HIM
- The Sweatshop will ALWAYS be a thing (in spite of my efforts to shut it down)
AYE!
