Intervals on a snowy track

Event Date

Jan 11, 2017

It started at 0459 when I got out of the car to run.  Turncoat was ready, Burner was slow to leave the car, something about warmth and texting Jolly.  Said there was no Q and he wouldn't do it (Jolly decided to wear shorts in 20 degree weather yesterday, SURPRISE! now he's sick and bailing on his Q). I said I'd take it, go with my default Half Life run, dirty dozen 400s.

Once Burner was shamefully removed from his car, we were off for the Standard.  Early discussion included Jolly's weakness and Burner's move, of course the later resulted in Turncoat receiving the Torrance sales pitch. Burner reminded me that based on results, his pitch must be good.

Return from Standard, gather for 0530, got chatty, launched a minute late.

To the track

Warm up mile, survey the track – its surprisingly snowy/icy

Audible instead of running 400 sprints, we do 300s and avoid sprinting the icy part

4 X 300 sprint, 100 recover

Victory Lap!

3 X 300 sprint, 100 recover

Victory Lap!

4 X 300 sprint, 100 recover

Victory/Recover Lap!

We covered about 4 1/2 miles

Burner claims he co-Q'd as he texted jolly while Turncoat and I stood in the rain, and he also sent an F3counts tweet.

One quarter of the Palmetto Misfits team made this workout.

Missing some regulars today Kumquat, Turnpike, Smokey, Don Ho – I'm talking to you.

Thanks for joining this morning have a fantastic day!
