6 PAX for Taco Tuesday at Que Onda today. 5 of the PAX met last week and were disappointed in the service at The Local, as evidenced by this well written backblast:

YHC joined them this week. It was raining today, literally, but not angry tacos this time.
Look, if you happen to be a slob like YHC, you'll eat anything. Honestly, Salsarita's suffices most times for me. But Que Onda offered a tasty selection of $2 tacos. Here is my recap:
Service:
10. No wait to be seated. Short wait for our drinks. Very short wait for our food. Magnus was even able to order "Round 2" as he quickly learned 4 was the optimal number of tacos, not 3. YHC and Gnarly Goat were graciously given "To-Goes-y" cups of iced tea. No comparison to the service at The Local, this was FAR better.
There was some confusion about corn vs. flour tortillas. But that was basically because we made the order more difficult by substituting flour for corn in some cases, corn being the "default". That they got like 90% of the tortillas correct is good enough in my book, of course I can say that because mine were all correct. *shrug*
Cost:
10. I mean, these were $2 tacos and 4 was basically enough for YHC. That's a deal.
Food:
10. Again, YHC is a slob. If Salserita's tacos are "good enough", then Que Onda has to be rated favorably. Basically, I ask myself these questions:
- Was I hungry when I walked in to the place of food? Answer, yes. Very.
- Was I "less hungry" when I walked out? Answer, absolutely. So, good food.
NMM:
- Sound off below with your ratings. Again, all 5 except YHC Taco'd together last week. Jealous, is a fine crew.
- Most were sore from the Murph yesterday. Clubber did his with a 20 pound vest, he's a beast.
- Gnarly Goat is trying to Q 50 times before he turns 50 this year! Was seen this morning Qing in some other region…details fuzzy because YHC is directionally challenged anyway.
- Speaking of Gnarly Goat, his mom is coming home soon from the hospital. Great news buddy!
- Magnus and Moby Dick carpool together and graciously offered YHC a ride. Will take them up on that for sure one of these days! Enjoyed the 2nd F today fellas.
