Jelly sleeves formerly known as arms

Event Date

Oct 12, 2019

8 PAX, including one second post FNG, took advantage of the cooler temps at the Estate this morning and came ready to work.  Several of the PAX were going for the double or triple down after running The Rock and/or Excelsior prior, so YHC, caring about their fitness, decided they needed to balance out the pain with an upper body smokefest.  It went a little something like this:

WARMORAMA:

Short mosey, circle up: SSH, Toy Soldier (no wait that’s IST), now actual Toy Soldier, arm circles forward/back, windmill, slow ‘Mericans (all x10 IC).  Grab some blocks and a partner.

THE THANG:

With partners we lined up for a couple rounds of Dora (one partner does exercise, the other moves)
Round 1: 100 ‘Mericans, 150 Squats, 200 LBCs. Mover farmer carries to end of lot and back.
Intermission: Ring around the Restroom: Partner A Peoples chair, Partner B run lap around the restroom building, flapjack (3 rounds each).

Dora Round 2: 100 Shoulder press, 100 Lawnmowers, 100 curls. Mover zamporinis.
Intermission: Partner A low flutter, Partner B lap around restroom, flapjack, 3 rounds.

We headed over to the tables to complete the destruction of the jelly sleeves formerly known as arms:

Dips x10 IC >  Decline ‘Mericans x10 IC
Dips x8 IC >  Decline ‘Mericans x8 IC
Dips x6 IC >  Decline ‘Mericans x6 IC

After the arms were fully smoked headed to the track for a quik Bataan death march, (Indian run with last man dropping for 5 ‘Mericans before running to the front)

MARY: We did a PAX Choice mary with each pax getting a shot, LBCs, WWIIs (twice), J-Lo, Peter-Parkers into Parker Peters and of course the SNAKE EYES ‘MERICANS (fka Shoulder Touch Mericans).

MOLESKIN

IT was a great morning, mumble chatter was strong but so was the work.  Our arms were thoroughly and completely smoked, which was the point!  We await confirmation if Elmers was able to lift his bagel afterwards.

We also welcomed Stiffler (formerly known as Dillan) at his second post.  Dillan is an App state grad currently teaching music to kids, some of those being Tantrum’s 2.0w.  Tantrum’s youngest (Faceplant?) actually gets credit for the initial EH which is a great story.  Dillan teaches band (Tuba master), so the 7 other PAX had an hour to think of band references.  The best we got was “what happened at band camp” from American Pie, which eventually left the band camp theme altogether and landed on Stiffler!  So welcome Stiffler, hopefully we didn’t scare you away!
