2 groups of Isotope's finest got our partnership with the Joe Martin ALS foundation off to a great start! Here's what we accomplished:
The Thang:
Workout by Steve Hix – stretching with assisatnce of F3 pax followed by transfer to the recumbent exercise bike and 25 minutes leg cycling followed by transfer to the Arm cycle for an additional 10 minutes.
Unloading mulch from van and throwing it over the fence to the back yard and distributing to beds in the fron yard as well.
Preparation of beds for mulch (approx 50 bags) and planting to follow including fertilization of magnolia trees.
Clean our behind refrigerator with replacement of the water filter and resetting the filter alarm
Replacement of smoke detector and carbon monoxide alarm batteries
Installation of closet shelving
Cutting and installation of garage door insulation
Issuing our newest Isotope pax – Steve Hix, DDS, heretofore known as C3PO – his own F3 workout gear (thanks to Drive Thru and Chief)
Naked Man Moleskin:
1) I am humbled yet again by the F3 Isotope pax and their willingness to reach outside of themselves in fellowship to their fellow man. I can't thank the pax enough who have supported this initiative and reached out of their comfort zones to participate. You have already made a huge impact on C3PO and his family. THANK YOU!
2) So, moving the refrigerator was a job for 2. Turning off the water supply, surprisingly was also a job for 2. Cleaning behind the refrigerator, job for one. Removing the filter, again, surprisingly a job for 2 (thanks for loosning it for me Shaken). Resetting the water filter alarm – 3 pax + one wife (proving yet again men cannot and will not read directions, even when right under thier noses!)
3) Tremendous amount was accomplished in a very short period of time by this industrious crew!
4) Look for future opportunities to connect with C3PO and help his family after the Easter holiday! Thanks to all who attended and have expressed their support for this initiative!
Aye,
Outlaw
