Join a team for the inaugural season of Jollyball, started through our very own F3 LKN. This is a means of having some fun together on Saturday mornings and is an excellent opportunity to EH some FNGs. Calypso has kindly volunteered to film the games and broadcast them live on the F3 channel, which is included in your annual dues.
What is Jollyball you ask?
Jollyball can be played a variety of different ways and rules are subject to change provided both teams agree upon the changes before starting the match. These inaugural games will be played sideways on the soccer field at Bailey Road Park, unless there is a need to improvise. Standard ball is a pumped up and bouncy size 4 soccer ball and standard goals are the medium size soccer goals that sit along the sideline at BRP soccer fields. The general concept is that you advance the ball up the field by dribbling or passing and then ultimately shooting it into the goal. The difference from soccer is that you can use your hands to dribble, pass, and shoot. You can even catch a pass, but you must immediately put the ball down to dribble or pass or shoot. At no point can you hold onto the ball for more than a two count or two steps. On defense everyone can use their hands to deflect, block, intercept, play goalie, whatever. Out of bounds follows soccer rules and you can kick or throw the ball in. Fouls are the same as basketball and soccer, no intentional contact to the body (although this rule has been a bit grey every time we've played). Each game consists of two 25 minute halves.
Arrival time is the usual 7am unless you want more than 5 minutes to warm up.

Championship, 7:30am: Winners play for the championship at 8am.
