Keeping the streak alive

++ STP, Overboard, Mayhem (Davidson)

So, apparently backblasts are a thing for Sweatshop because while I was enjoying a cold beer with the Pax after my first Sweatshop Q, I was informed that I needed to post a back blast to "keep the streak alive."  Since I lead Weinke-less I'll do my best to describe the evening's events…

Warmup – SSH and stuff.  There is definitely a higher chatter level at a 7 pm workout than a 5:15 or 5:30 am workout when most of the group is half asleep.

To the Track…

Act 1 – Storm the stadium – 5 burpees on the track, over the wall and up the bleachers, five squats at the top.  Repeat five times.  Once finished we took a 3/4 lap around the track – sprinting the straightaways and jogging the curves.

Act 2 – Gather on the track where (I think) the 100 meter dash starts; split the pax in two.  Half sprint to the 20 yd line for 10 mericans, back to the starting line for a burpee turn, sprint to the 50 for 20 mericans, and back while the other half goes through core exercises. Swap and repeat.

Act 3 – Stairway to Seven – Burpees, pullups, incline mericans, up the bleachers and squats at the top incrementally increasing reps from 1 each to 7 each over seven sets.

Act 4 – Merican Ladder – On the stadium wall where the bars are located there is a nice little shelf about 18 inches up… Regular mericans x 5 IC on the track, feet up to the ledge for 5 more IC, feet on the top for 5 more IC, feet back to the ledge for another 5 IC and finally feet back on the track for a final 5 IC.  Take another lap around the track.

Act 5 – Starting in the track corner again – sprint to the 50 for 10 WW2 situps, back to the start for a burpee turn and sprint to the far end zone for 15 WW2 situps.  Back to the Green.

I really enjoyed my first Q with the Sweatshop boys (Thanks, Hipster).  Any workout that ends with a cold beer can't be too bad.
