8 hard-chargers of the Sugar Hill Gang emerged in a humid gloom for a 2018 version of Lapper's Delight. Well, Red Cedar didn't really "emerge from the gloom"…. he mostly just rolled out of a sedan where he'd apparently been napping for an undisclosed amount of time, but that's just a minor detail.
We gathered in ye olde plank position for muster, instruction and inspection. After a proper disclaimer, we circled up, warmed up, blocked up, and lapped up. Along the way of "pick your poison" laps, each pax contributed to the smack-down with their libation of choice… 'Mericans, Crunchy Frogs, Squats, Curls, Squat Presses, Overhead presses, etc etc etc. We even did some backward lunge-walking. This was a gang of wily, mumble-chattering F3 veterans. All demonstrated expertise as they willingly accepted their moment in the rotation.
With the 'Merican timer off, it was a pretty chilled beat-down, with the exception of a flurry of activity around a certain visitor with black fur and a white stripe. Of special note was Red Cedar's extended block-press routine, Blackbeard's increasing speed, and Sweet C's "wreck it Ralph" destruction of a block.
A good time was had by all, and there was much rejoicing.
GG sends.
