The travelling Caboose landed at Latta trails today to get some non-road miles. The temps were considerably cooler than earlier in the week but it was still a sweatfest. Two Pax were brave enough to come out and test their fitness on uneven ground with the promise of hills.
A disclaimer was given and Turnpike and I were off. Great 2nd F for the first 1.5 miles. At 1.5 we came to the hill. Run up, run down, repeat as many times as possible in 30ish minutes. 2nd F greatly diminished during the hill repeats. At 6:02, we left the hill and started the 1.5 miles back to the launch point. 2nd F picked up considerably on the run back.
Overall, we covered about 6 miles, which means 3 miles of hill repeats. Turnpike is prepping for yet another marathon and he made the hills look easy this morning.
The Caboose is unique in that it travels from week to week which is really cool that you get to see different areas of the Isotope area. Jump into a run sometime soon. Thanks Turnpike for the opportunity to lead.
Appreciate you leading Frodo! It was great to hear about the 2023 Goatbuster adventure coming up.
