The forecast on Saturday morning called for a trifecta we didn’t want to mess around with:
1) Rain
2) USA in the World Cup
3) Hangovers from the F3 Christmas Party
With the HH looming just 8 days away, we needed one more long-ish run before the week and the verb everyone training looks forward to: “tapering”.
So my boys and I decided we’d get it over with Friday morning, despite immense heckling on Twitter from the Cauldron pax.
Tammy Faye, Tuffy and YHC have training since, well, forever I think. It’s been an awesome journey and I’ll be honored to cross the finish line with them on 12/10. Unfortunately for this run Tuffy woke up under the weather so Sat it out (the irony of being under the weather for a run that Tuffy mapped out on a day to avoid the weather).
So TF and TF met at Lowe’s Foods at 0600, run through Cedarfield, on the greenway, into Wynfield (hit all the hills), up to St Marks (right after Travolta Hill), down Ranson then thru Rosedale and up Gilead for 9 miles and a lotta hills. Good stuff.
T-Claps to Frontier, Lawn Dart and Blackbeard for waiting for us at Coffeteria for our tardy arrival at 7:40am.
Aye (enter my hand emoji here)
