Let’s Run to Stray’s House

Event Date

AO

Out of the 4 PAX at Titan today, YHC was the only one to drive there.  At 4:50 Tantrum and Dirt came in at a speedy pace, followed 5 minutes later by Stray and his "20 pieces of running flair".  We exchanged some small talk, waited until exactly 0500, and were off.

0500:  A 2.14 mile standard run.  Garmin link here:

0530:  Stray had an early flight to catch, and was planning on running home and skipping the main event.  Well, didn't really have a route in mind…so let's run to Stray's house!  Here's what we did:

WARMORAMA:

  • 1 mile run to a Gazebo by McIIwaine Road
  • IST x 10 IC
  • Soybean Farmers x 10 IC
  • Little baby arm circles (LBAC) forward x 10 IC (and keep arms at 90 degrees until told otherwise)
  • Overhead claps x 10 IC
  • Dirty Bird x 10 IC (downward claps)
  • Air presses x 10 IC
  • LBAC backwards x 10 IC, arms down
  • Scorpion Dry Docks x 10 IC

The Thing:

  • Continue running, bid farewell to Stray
  • At about 2.2 miles in, stop at the same Gazebo for:
  • Dips x 20 OYO
  • Diamond Mericans x 20 OYO

Run back to Hopewell High for Mary.

Mary:

  • Plank
  • Shoulder Touch Mericans x 10 IC
  • Low Flutters x 15 IC
  • LBCs x 25 IC

Recover, recover.  Distance was 3.45 miles according to my Garmin, link here:

Moleskin:

  1. Safe travels Stray!  Please come back healthy bro.
  2. Dirt and family were hit by a stomach bug over the weekend, but he still gutted it out today.
  3. Tantrum was also "detoxing" as he put it…but there may have been some adult beverages involved at his sister's wedding in Colorado.  Thanks for the opportunity to lead today bud.
  4. Incognitians were out in full force at Fireball today, I'm cool with that as long as people are running.
  5. Jaws and Jingle Bells, unless you were at Fireball…I'll need to see you in my office…
  6. …and has anyone seen Izzy lately?  I'm going to ping him now at work…

Have a great week gentlemen,

Turnpike
