0445 and I awake to lightning and torrential downpour. Try and rationalize that no one will come to the AO and its just too wet.
0500 guilt creeps in and get up to make coffee and find some wet gear.
0520 depart in minivan.
0529 in AO in van and waiting it out. 05:29:37 Strudel drives in.
Not too bad, 57 degrees and light rain.

Reflection: Joy for the Season
Joy. Approaching Christmas is a time for anticipation and excitement. Just look in a child’s eyes. Is our Joy displayed in our thoughts, actions and words? Do we let the “stuff” of every day life and our own crosses weigh us down with sadness? A challenge for sure but always so much to be thankful for and worthy of spreading joy in this world.

Pondering unilaterally changing Strudel’s name to Old Yeller. Dude is loyal, always there and positive. He’s the guy people want to be around because he is just an all around good person. (Disclaimer – may have been an axe murder in a previous life.) Great talking today through a myriad of topics this am such as parenting, retail shippers, political friction in the world and the merits of exterior lighting for the holidays. Pretty much solved the world’s problems in 45 minutes.
