<!–more–>I’m YHC hasn’t posted at Mighty Oak in a while and it was a pleasure being back to Q. Really fun being with Estwing and Matlock, two PAX YHC doesn’t often cross paths with. We were soaked 5 minutes into the steamy sauna-like conditions but managed to get in considerable strength and cardio work.
matlock ran a standard before the workout
After a brief warm-a-Rama and a lap around the school, 11’s were performed back and forth on the track/basketball court (air squats and Carolina Dry Docks.
We made good use of the blocks by performing two rounds of incline block merkins, curls, bent over rows and shoulder presses.
A few mobility moments were added in throughout and we ended with MARY.
Prayers were offered up in CoT for
peace in our world, community and families. Also prayers up for a friend of Matlock (Ben) who is going through a hard battle with alcohol.
It was a fine morning and a pleasure to spend time with Matlock and Estwing.
Matlock and YHC joined the Hollywood crew for coffee where tennis was the topic of discussion. To the surprise of everyone, YHC shared a little known secret about Andre Agassi (simply google Agassi wig to find out)

When Andre was the up and coming star — you know back when he rocked the acid washed tennis jorts with the hot pink biker shorts underneath and the “tina turner” style mullet — he played an exhibition in Charlotte against Ivan Lendl. Mom found out they were staying at a particular hotel and so we went over there to try to meet them before the event. They both came out at the same time (Agassi about 10 seconds ahead). 13 year old me walked straight by Agassi and flagged down Lendl for his autograph. It was at that point that I realized I was an old soul. (plus i was kinda pissed at Agassi for refusing to compete at Wimbledon due to the white clothes rule).

Very cool story there Stray! I remember when he won Wimbledon ! Amazing accomplishment for a player of who was a baseliner at the time. Been a fan ever since.
Give Open, Agassi’s autobiography, a read. It won’t disappoint
Yep great book! That’s where he talked about his wig when he was at the French Open and really scared during the match that it would fall off – such a funny bizarre story. Brooke told him after the match to just go natural and be shaved his head shortly after hahahah
Agassi will always remain my all-time favorite. He changed the game. I wish I still had those shorts with built in spandex, the Nike shirts, and the shoes. I’m sure those are hot and expensive EBay items.
