***FNG-5 is “5G” (Popcorn’s uncle) visiting from San Diego!
YHC dropped a “T-Y-P-E-G-U-Y I’m that type of guy” reference in the preblast. The plan was to do an LL Cool J workout while playing an LL Cool J playlist. YHC arrived and was warned about the last workout at the AO got a neighbor angrily out of bed. So an audible was called — we still did the LL Cool J workout but went sans music.
0528 5G shows up, introduces himself as Popcorn’s uncle in from San Diego
0529 Ping and I assure 5G that Popcorn will receive some serious emotional damage from heckling on Discord if he fartsacks today.

Around the way moleskin:
- YHC listened to Rock The Bells Radio (LL Cool J’s Sirius XM channel) and got to thinking. That dude has been jacked for ages. What does he do? So I found out that he used to sell his “Platinum” workout regimen. YHC modified a bit for F3 and voila.
- Popcorn has been on a long mission researching the full food-chain. Its been good to go along with him. We had some good discussions. One topic over the weekend with Ping and Popcorn was Milk (cow vs almond vs oat, etc as well as A vs B vs skim, etc). Two minutes in to the workout and mumblechatter was minimal and without any LL tunes, YHC got the food-chain convo started and it lasted until 0615
- Ping nearly got AMPM deered by a bird. He knows what I’m talking about.
- StubHub rolled up in his extended cab truck with the extended bed. That’s a man-truck there. Didn’t even fit in the parking spot.
- Great to see 5G join us. He posts 3 days per week in F3 San Diego and always posts when he comes to visit Popcorn and the extended family here. First time I met him. Awesome guy who immediately felt like we’ve known him for years.
- What I learned today: Well I’ve known this for a while, but there was another example today, and everyone (all 2 of you who read this BB) needs to hear it. There are two character traits that are well valued in life. Sometimes I feel they are innate in our character (ie nature). But I also know they are capable of being cultivated (ie nurture); however, they are hard cultivate. They are so worth while though if you have it. If you don’t then find someone who exhibits them and engaged them to learn how they do it. I’m talking about curiosity and discipline. Popcorn, I know is naturally gifted with curiosity. He may be naturally gifted with discipline as well but I also know from his testimony that he has cultivated it (and he is a hero for it). But here’s what — if something comes to his mind, he goes and seeks to understand it. He also will not just be satisfied by the first morsel he gets, but rather he’ll research it, stress test his research, study it again from different angles, and even talk to others about it. It is a phenomenal character trait to have. So be like Popcorn — be someone who is a good steward of your gifts and leverage them to bring value to both you and others in your life. This will make you a better person, leader in your family, leader in the workplace, and citizen of the community.
- May we all be more like Popcorn — amen and amen!
