Q

PAX

After a less than enthusiastic response to the preblast and being ditched by his running mates, the Q was thinking it may be a table for one at the Quarryhood as in ran the 3.5 miles to the AO.  Boy was he relieved when he saw G-Rip there ready for the workout.

We talked for a little bit, hoping someone else would make an appearance, but after a couple of minutes, we knew we were it.

Warmorama:  Combination of SSD, Toy Soldier, Cotton Pickers, and Windmill

Main Events:  Ran to the nearby playground for 3-Corners of exercises around the block where the playground is located.  Repeated the corners 3 times, with karaoke, butt kickers and running in between each corner (about 0.3 miles for the full circuit)

  • First Corner: Dips, Decline Merkin, Incline Merkin
  • Second Corner: Squats, Lunges, Scorpion Merkins
  • Third Corner: Merkins, Mountain Climbers, Peter Parker

Ran back to base for some suicides with exercises mixed in.  Did three sets of suicides with Man Maker Merkins, Crunchy Frog and Burpees as the exercises.

Mary:

  • Low Flutter
  • Low Dolly
  • Rosalita
  • LBC
  • Jane Fonda

Moleskin:

  • It deceivingly cold this morning.  Some ice on the equipment at the playground.
  • A lot of talk about High School Swimming and how some schools sandbag heading into the Regional championships.  Our daughers swim for Mountain Island Lake Charter and Christ the King, respectively.  They both have meets today.  Good luck to our girls!
  • It sounds like Grip's daughter, who is a junior, may be going out of state.  Top choice is University of South Carolina and her test scores and grades are very strong!  My middle daughter, who is a senior, recently was accepted to her top choice, University of Tennessee, so she may be Knoxville bound.
  • Even though we were not many at the workout, we were mighty.  Thank you for being there Grip and for the strong workout.  It was a pleasure to lead.
