2 emerged from the gloom to greet a beautiful morning…so, this morning, I packed up my car with some workout toys. I started the car for a little heat. I loaded 30# dumbbells, 25# dumbbells, 15# dumbbells, ruck sack with 22#, sand bag with 60#, and a 30# slam ball. Shut the trunk and then went to open the driver's door. Locked. Car running. Spare keys at my separated wife's house. 630am. No time to drive my work truck to pick up the keys and return in time to make the 7am start. eek so, I drove my work truck to SVU, leaving my car running at my house for a couple hours…so, I had to whip up an old school favorite from the past. Hearts beat quickly. Here's how it went down.

Reflection: 1 Peter 5, 8-9
8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
– Sometimes I'm really good about remembering this verse. Sometimes, I start thinking I have everything figured out, and I forget to be on the lookup for the devil prowling around, looking to destroy.
– I'm reminded how lions often lie in tall grass waiting to pounce on their prey. Sometimes I forget to keep an eye out for danger or risk.
– I had planned this scripture before the car fiasco. I don't consider the car thing suffering or necessarily an act of the devil. Maybe it was, but more likely, just me being dumb.
moleskine:
– Tonka is a trooper. He started having some cramps and was pushing through. Seemed okay after resting a little bit.
– Shirley wasn't able to join us. He "HAD" to fly to Costa Rica and back. We always tease him, but he assures us he doesn't even have time to leave the airport.
– Great to see a bunch of the running crew did so well at The Khaleda Run.
Have a great Mothers Day weekend
It was an honor to lead : )
