6 men gathered this cool morning for a little March Madness in September, listen 2020 is a weird year. As Mater shared about his beach trip Dandy pulled in and stopped on a dime and so it began.. 

Warm Up: 

  • SSH 15-IC 
  • Left Over Right 
  • Right Over Left 
  • Grandma Maters 10-IC 
  • Imperial Storm Troopers 10-IC 

The Thang:

  • "Round of 32" 
    • Decending Ladder of WW1s 
    • 32 up the parking lot
    • 31 down the parking lot 
    • and so on until reps of 20 were complete, at the point the PAX had complained enough, YHCs 6 was totally destroyed and Crabby Patty lets us know that was 306 WW1s and we decide thats enough of that  
  • "Sweet 16" 
    • Accending Ladder of Merkins 
      • 1 merkin up to the top of parking lot 
      • 2 merkins down to the bottom of the parking lot 
      • And so on until the round of 16 is completed 
      • 136 total merkins 
  • "Elite 8" 
    • At this point YHC can tell the pax need a break so we take it easy on this one..
    • Decending ladder of Low Fludder Kicks 2 is 1 
    • Up and Down..you get it 
  • "Final Four" 
    • We gotta do some Burpees right..? 
    • Decending Burpee Ladder 
    • 4 up, 3 down, 2 up, 1 down 
  • "The Championship!"
    • Quads-I-Feel-Ya to the top of the parking lot 
    • Sprint to the bottom

While it is 100% truth that our self worth is found in Christ Jesus, there is also a truth in our life that we are called to work hard, to do things the right way, and push ourselves to be better than ever. Having self worth in Jesus doesn't mean we can be lazy husbands, disconnected dads, or lame F3 Pax. It means just the opposite, we push ourselves to be the best we can be and work harder than anyone else because we desire to honor Jesus. 
 
Mumble Chatter: 
  • Dandy may not like YHC anymore, he gave me a few new nicknames and wanted to send me far away to Q School. But there is no love lost as I am already looking forward to the next time he crushes my spirit with blocks. 
  • Crabby Patty was a man amoungst boys this morning as he just smacked us up and down that parking lot. 
  • After 7 long years Mater finally has to buy a new pair of shorts, sorry buddy. 
  • Shirley was YHCs only friend this morning as he was full of encouragment through the pain! 
  • Prayers out to Strudel as he begins his carrer as a Kindergarten Teacher today!
