cobains…my preblast promised that the forecast was gloomier than the gloom, until it's not! it was raining sideways (Forest Gump reference) at 0529 when YHC rolled into ManMaker and found 9 strong-willed HIMs who wouldn't have been there if not for the accountability that is F3.
After a 10-step walk around the corner of the building and nearly losing my NCSU hat (coincidentally, that hat is older than Little Professor-hate, hate, hate), we reversed course and stayed under the bus shelter and on the protected side of the school. Warm-o-rama may have included: incline merkins, IST, arm circles, & slow squats… It may have included some other exercises as well, but that's immaterial to this story.
The Thang consisted of back-to-back Dora's until it didn't. Dora to 200 reps with mountain-climber or run for the partner who was not lifting the KB: KB swing, calf raises, full extension curls in people's chair position, and upright rows. We also mixed in a TippyBird Dora to 100 (Stromboli suggested 50 would have been enough) and 4 sets of Bulgarian Split Squats: 10 IC left and right followed by 8 IC left and right.
We wrapped it up with mobility.
Moleskin:
- brave run into the bus parking lot by our marsupial friend, who could have blown away in the storm
- Tippy Bird surprised a few of the pax – you might feel that tomorrow.
- Bagboy's run under the walkway shelters
- Einstein ran the standard – beast. Did anyone else? Cousin Eddie?
- Tclaps, Possum, for reverently taking us out
- Thanks to Canuck for the peer pressure yesterday morning; I left my pusillanimous (not his word, but close) self at home and posted despite a back/neck muscle tweak. Truth be told, when I'm injured is the best time to Q, because I can control the exercises and select the ones that I can manage.
- For those that made it to coffee, we were graced with a FreePass sighting who dropped Whole-30 and Financial planning knowledge with high efficiency. If you haven't already, document your goals and get your families in on the fun.
- Kotters to MMM: Gray Ghost, who acquitted himself well.
