Moleskine

  • Q’s sidewalk chalk skills are still in need of improvement. Pax was interested to see the demonstration of the “Jerk and Piss”. There were concerns expressed that Pax may not of hydrated enough beforehand

  • In general, the history of concrete block in contemporary building material histories begins with the innovations in block machinery that took place at the turn of the 20th century. However, the history of concrete block begins much earlier than these innovations. Harmon S. Palmer invented the first commercially successful concrete block machine in 1900, but there were many reasons why concrete block became widely used during the first half of the 20th century. The establishments of a domestic Portland cement industry, the innovations in concrete block machinery, and the marketing and promotion of concrete and concrete block at the 1904 St. Louis Louisiana Purchase Exposition, are all major reasons why concrete block began to be widely used in America.

  • All that said, the use of cinder blocks in workouts is a very effective form of Medieval torture

  • After a long hike, nothing quite hits the spot like a boiled omelet

  • Setlist accompanying the workout and emanating from the mobile speaker brought to the Pax courtesy of the random shuffle mode on the F3 MixTape playlist:

    • For Those About to Rock, We Salute You – AC/DC

    • Sabotage – Beastie Boys

    • Godzilla – Blue Oyster Cult

    • Hello There – Cheap Trick

    • Baby Got Back – Sir Mix-A-Lot

    • Flagpole Sitta – Harvey Danger

    • Detroit Rick City – Kiss

    • Rock the Casbah – The Clash

    • Break Stuff – Limp Bizkit

  • Fun music facts:

    • Fred Durst, the lead singer of Limp Bizkit, is from Gastonia. That explains a lot

    • Highly unlikely that this song of any of these would be found in 911’s jukebox

    • Godzilla is from Japan, but alas, Ginsu is not (knives currently manufactured in in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas

  • Skeleton spring break Q coverage in effect this week. Double Double on the Q for Thursday

  • Thanks Easter Bunny. Balk Balk!

  • Great work men!
