I'm only claiming this Q because I tweeted a preblast. I, in no way shape or form, ever led this group today. And, really, that's what the River Rat is all about. We all run the same route at our own pace. Some run fast, some loop back, some run slow, some catch up from the back on the downhill, some stop and wait a little for the 6. This morning, we fellowshipped, we built endurance, we got faster, we had fun, we felt pain, we cursed hills, we flew downhill. Crocs can hold a conversation at any pace and over any terrain. And, he didn't dissappoint this morning. Turnpike announced he wanted a slowsy rat this morning. I replied that won't be a problem if we all run my race pace. Mona Lisa was a little late at the start, so he ran the reverse route continuously contemplating if he made the right decision. He did. We met up with him about halfway and helped him increase the pace out of his comfort zone. He thanked us with spilled merlot (see lexicon). All in all, it was another typical River Rat.
