9 strong warriors answered the call this morning at The Sword for some strength and cardio conditioning. After a long lap around the parking lot, PAX gathered on the far grassy knoll for a little warm-a-rama including SSH’s, Windmill, Toy Soldier, Mountain Climbers, and Donkey Kicks.
From there, mosey over to the far back of the parking lot where each PAX grabbed two cinder blocks and proceeded to gather in a circle.
PAX performed a descending ladder of the following exercises with the blocks: merkins, bent-over rows, curls, shoulder presses and dips. The ladder started with 12 reps in cadence and decreased by 2 after each round. PAX performed farmers carries and laps around the parking lot in between the cinder block circuits. In addition, PAX performed a couple sets of pull-ups and air squats.
Thanks to Amen, Estwing, and POS for keeping YHC honest as a few exercises were inadvertently skipped but they were made up towards the end.
Strava verified 1.3 miles were covered by the PAX. Great work by everyone!
The Force shared a great story about his 2.0 and a potential threatening situation he found himself in on Saturday night in protecting himself and 3 young ladies as an intoxicated young man approached them and became belligerent. Sounds like he landed a necessary punch on the dude which ultimately allowed the intoxicated guy to be restrained. A good reminder to all of us to always be aware of our surroundings and protect those we’re close to.
As always, an honor and privilege to lead these fine group of men in the gloom! Honored to have 8 other PAX join YHC for some strength and conditioning this chilly morning at the Sword!
Humbly in Christ,
Possum
