Moving some blocks


Strong group made it out in the cool gloom this am.  Proud of you boys putting up with my antics.

No sign of Qbert or BamBam – they normally shy away from my work outs so no surprise.

Warm up – 

2 X 10 SS hops + 5 Burpees

Work out – 

Jog to blocks

Get ALL blocks out and form a line back to back and start moving blocks by (curling, pressing and skull crushing) them to the person behind you.

When Blocks ran out we started again with alternating twist hand off of blocks to person behind you until we ran out of blocks.

Then we move the blocks once more by doing sit-ups with block and handing back to person behind until we reached the end of the lot.

We then did some sprints to keep legs and heart rate up – by request of Caboose naturally.

We then did a short run out to entrance with block and stopped and diagonal corner to do some merkans and more sprints.

Continued to top of parking lot with more merkans and sprints.

Running route in reverse we made our way back to the bottom of lot for a quick "rock jump".  The Pax loves this I will never know why but you have to throw them a bone occasionally.

Once done with rock jumping we proceed to run back up to top of lot with blocks.

Few more side merkans then we put the blocks up and did a few tootsie rool burpees, dead hang pull-ups, more merkans and some pause merkans to round off work-out.

10 each arm Turkish get ups then over to corner for mary.

Summary – 

  • Good to see the regulars out and some new guys for the Foundary
  • Travolta has the Q next Friday and he noted similar workout but harder I think was his statement (look forward to that)
  • Again comments made about what level of softness BamBam is at this point of ths summary and I think the determining grade of softness was "single Ply"
  • I am super proud of the guys that do not like running with Cinder Blocks and did for me – THANKS!!!
