Moleskin:

The highlight of the entire day happened when we were "passing the baton" on Mary for the last few minutes. This is a great practice as it allows the newer PAX to get comfortable counting IC in a group, and also takes the pressure of the Q who failed to plan for 5 unplanned minutes and is allergic to grass. So, we are going around the horn with a the standard LBC's, Lo Flutta's, etc and when it gets to bolt, Spark Nut says, "you got this buddy, or do you want me to do it?

No let me set the stage for you. Bolt MIGHT be 5' tall, perhaps about 10 years old. Super friendly, super chatty, tons of energy and light. Great kid. He says, "No, Mr. Jade (Spark Nut), I've got this. Next exercise is the BURPEE. Starting position move, IN CADANCE, EXERCISE!"

BURPEES IN CADANCE Y"ALL! I am not making this up. Bolt led 10 solid IC Burpees while the elder men in the group grumbled, smiled and beamed with pride. Well done, Bolt. Kid is a leader!

I am going to recruit Spark Nut to lead in the LKN area. Spark Nut lives in my neighborhood and is a solid 4 year F3'r and I believe the MOTY for Mecca if I am not mistaken. Anyway, this guy is special. First off, he has 6 kids and is an incredible athlete. On top of that, the dude is a tremendous father and leader. I'll try to get him on the Davidson schedule so you can meet him.

We close like we always close, praying for the men of Summers Walk. We pray for guidance, peace, joy, and blessings for all of the men in the neighborhood. We pray that those struggling at work, at home, with their children, with the marriages, that they would be overcome by the warmth and presence of an all-loving God.

Finally, I want to share something that has been on my heart recently. I have been following the tweets and conversation around the Christina Latini race and plan on registering. Like many things, I just have not gotten around to it. I will, but that is not what I want to share. What I want to share is that my heart is still broken for your Olive. I know we have only met a few times in passing, but I want you to know that I continue to think about you and pray for you. I will see you at the race. I am here for you at any time, for any reason.
