Mutiny


The plan was to run 3 5-minute Zone 4 / 3-min EZ intervals, basically a 1200 run hard with a 400 recovery with a warmup and cooldown. But something was already amiss when YHC showed up at Starbucks and saw only Cousin Eddie. We noticed a large group forming at Lululemon (pronounced Lulu-Lemon). It was like the seeds of revolt were already being sown. A basic plan was outlined and we headed out to Robbins Park where the discussion centered around last weekend's football games and mainly the Chiefs vs. Bills (sorry Heely). 

About a mile + of warmup, a fork in the road… Take a right and join the Q in running hard. Stay straight and enjoy something slightly easier. Almost unanimously, the PAX chose to ditch the interval plan and headed to the new Cornelius greenway. Omar felt sorry for the Q and stuck to the plan. It wasn't fun.

PSA: Birkdale is under heavy construction now and has thrown everything out of whack with parking and barricades are everywhere. Starbucks is still there but a bit harder to get to.
