Nailed It

Event Date

Nov 09, 2022

Warm Up:

SSH, IST, Toy Soldier, Ground Toucher, Windmill

50 SSH – was going to be 100, but Jedi and Turnpike graciously agreed to take some Night Ranger Qs to save the pax from extra work!

1 lap of the back lot track

The Thang:

A new invention YHC came up with. Opposite the basketball goals and under the lights on the picnic tables were 4 1×6 boards, 4 hammers, and a box of nails. Teams of 2 sprinted across the parking lot, got 1 swing to set or drive the nail, and sprint back for a tag. The waiting partner was either in a plank or al gore. The objective was to be the first team to drive 5 nails into the board. The winning team got to skip out on the merkinator.

Flip the boards over for round 2. Repeato with the with the winning team selecting an exercise for the group. Jedi and Roadie destroyed the competition and chose a lap around the track.

Back to the front of the school for a merkin parking lot suicide trip and Mary to close out the event.

Notes From The Front:

Jedi and Roadie have spent a lot of time hammering nails as evident by their decisive victory both rounds. By the time their 5 nails were sunk, most other teams were barely on 2 or 3. Great job guys!

Turnpike is looking strong as ever, expecting a full recovery in the next week or so.

Was awesome to see POS again, it’s been too long – won’t be making that mistake again.

Crocs was on a recovery day so running speed was in short supply leading to a lot of time held planking and al goring by YHC, but his hammer skills are on point. Extra thanks for supplying the hammers, why you own 5 hammers I’ll never know, but it is most appreciated!

Sac is still a legend. I think this was too easy for him…

Estwing helped YHC stay on the straight and narrow, bringing that MQ energy and ensuring the pax got 2 miles this morning. Appreciate the opportunity to lead at a premier AO!

Also saw a brief Enron flyby close to the end, tried to get him to stay for Mary, but he and EnDog had places to be and kept running.

Huge thanks to Estwing and the Pax for braving a very silly idea – no nails were left behind for school kids to step on and everyone pretended to have a good time in the cold swinging hammers. Until next time!
