The Work
Pax seemed uninterested in a warmup, so we ran straight out of Hopewell, down Beatties, out Hambright, and into the Montecarlo triangle. Started with some classic warmups, SSH, IST, Windmill, Dwight Schrute farmers. Then back out of the neighborhood and up Platon to the top of the hill and more pain. Merican, LBC, CDD, Makhtar N'Diayes. Then snake through Tanners to the playground, rotate through squats, swing-crunches, WWII – and repeat. Finally run back to Hopewell and finish with some J-Lo and Superman-Bananas. 3.2 miles total with some pain breaks, as promised!

- Lesson learned: you can only get the pax to sing Believe It Or Not one time during Supermans. Twice and they’ll call your bluff. Or maybe they were just done with my BS at 6:15 sharp.
- Jorel rolled in at 5:32 and just barely missed us (ran on his own, stayed around for Mary). Usually we don’t fly off right at 5:30, mea culpa brother. As penance I talked him into a Q. In other news, I am the world’s greatest negotiator. He even had to fight with Bootlegger for which day.
- Red October sighting, he’s back! Glad Jedi dragged you out here this morning! Bet you didn’t think you would find a Wiregrass bandit in the gloom!
- I don’t think Snake Eyes said one word this morning. Was the workout THAT good? Or THAT bad? Jenny also quieter than usual… typically he’s got a lot of feelings to share. Not so much today.
- Frogger has two speeds; full sprint and walking. Apparently he drives the same – dude must have hit 45 mph in the parking lot, only to slam on the breaks exiting Hopewell. That Musk-mobile is QUICK tho.
- The Ultimate is getting ready for his first half marathon, woo! Huntersville Half is always an F3 beast, love seeing everyone come out for this thing! In case you haven’t heard, the race is ON (albeit with staggered start).
