Tin Man and Heister also in attendance
Only 10 men in Davidson came out for the first beat down of the year = numerous resolutions have already disintegrated.
Rain or cold is not my thing; putting them together this morning was not a good birthday present! So I had to do what some would consider desecration to a MK beat down: a stationary workout! That’s right, no running!!
We moseyed to Flatiron parking garage for a little warm up then moseyed to DUMC for a paver and hid under the enclosure.
The workout was simple in construction, difficult in execution: Ladder of Five Exercises, one of each for the first set, then 2, then 3, up to 10, no rest. Then after a "recovery" lap around the parking lot back down the ladder (we only had time to get to 5).
1)Pukies (you’ll have to make the next MK Q if you want to know what it is)
2)Squat-to-press
3)Squat
4)Dry Dock
5)V-up
Totals: 90 pushups, squats, burpies, squat-to-press, dry dock, jump squats
Then mosey to Town Green COT.
Moleskin:
Props to Genghis who after the ascension portion of the ladder said “I didn’t think I could ever finish a burpie ladder.” Little did he know at the time the descending portion was looming; he rocked that also!
Noticeably absent was Special Sauce who gave a prior verbal commit. He’ll have to show up 20min early for next post to complete the “pukie” portion as punishment.
Tin Man memorable forever as we share the same birthday. I think I’m a few years younger but if I’m in half the shape he’s in when I’m his age that will be amazing!!
