Not 20 Miles

5 of the most predictable runners in Isotope didn’t run 20 miles. Here is their story:

We gathered. We waited. We were going to COT but Dallas moved to make Odyssey great again by staying together and praying after the run. Crazy I know.

Hoodie and Swing State were presumably off in the greater Huntersville/Cornelius region running way too far way too fast. They didn’t circle back for Odyssey. The general consensus was that was a good thing so we could run “easy.” Kumquat suggested we ruck. He decided this morning to borrow one of Dallas’ muddy rucks to start training for the next Quarter Ruck. Strong.

We followed all the Odyssey rules. We ran a little bit of new pavement, including bits of the LEGO10K, but ensuring to run uphill the entire 5 miles while listening to Auto and Poptart bitch about running uphill the entire 5 miles. Odyssey will live to run another Friday with none of that drama brought on by OTB runs, the banger or Candyshop.

Then we coffee’d. It was awesome. Thanks Hoodie for the opportunity to Q at Odyssey. Thanks to Little Finger, Omar, Kumquat, and/or Dallas for agreeing to take the Odyssey Q next week. Thanks to the LFC Men’s Ministry for the EH (email headlock) in my case. Now go have a positive impact in the lives of those around you today. Your M is a good place to start. Until the next time…
