YHC had a ludicrous plan but awoke to the realization that potentially much of the pax of Ludicrous Speed were out West (just now figuring out why BEP moved me to this week's Q). So YHC dressed for the 27° temp cranked up the heat in the FJ and drove to RBP and shamefully hoped no one would show and YHC would be back in the FS by 0545… But alas there was Turnpike's automobile already there as he put in standard miles in advance. YHC knew it was on. Then Gambini would arrive and just before we launched Snake Eyes would roll in with the frost covered Beemer as well – a cool look with the white paint and windows all frosted. #whiteout.
And so there were 4, and so we would run.
YHC abandoned the original plan – too cold for a weinke anyway. YHC polled the pax for their preference after the warm-up mile and warm-o-rama. We chose to do a mile at a time, no real speed work. Just easy miles and good conversation.

I was honest with the pax before we started that I'd hoped they wouldn't show. I repeated that a couple times during the workout. Then I came clean at the end. Glad these fellas came out in the cold to get in some running and to push me to do the same.
Saw 3 FiA ladies out there working hard in the cold as well. Greatful to my pax for showing and not allowing me to do the walk of shame back to the car and leave without a workout. Can't imagine what that would be like with FiA watching but I imagine it would be awful and embarrassing. Perhaps awfully embarrassing.
