First Monday of the month meant it was time for the Titan five-miler. Pax mostly rolled in hot (in some cases so hot they caught up a half mile into the run :::cough Mona Lisa cough:::
Atmosphere was odd today, good crowd clearly in the mood for a fun run and a little Superbowl talk. Yet also subdued as our lost brother weighed heavily on our hearts. I can only think of a few brief things worth sharing at a time like this…
1) Jedi is about to launch a new blog, and it sits right on the top of my mind as a timely thing to discuss because too often in life we don't share how we're doing, or how we're struggling, or take the time to listen. I will personally own up to being fairly poor in this regard. So it's encouraging to see things like Q-Source starting to gain traction, and it's encouraging to hear a brother like Jedi put pen to paper – wanting to engage the community in discussion of anything. In a world where small talk is king, deep discussion of your thoughts and values and struggles becomes so much more important for your personal well-being. Kudos to Jedi for being a man of action at a timely moment, I look forward to reading.
2) Solid work today from Dirt who has been getting back on the horse these past few weeks. Prayers for your daughter and her continued recovery (thankfully it's a small thing and she's doing great, just so I don't worry anyone).
3) Mona this was the first time I've seen you sans tacos in about two weeks. Let's fix that soon.
4) Jingle regaled us with tales of his colonoscopy. It was about as enjoyable as you think. I'll spare you all further detail.
5) The local skunk population has apparently launched a chemical warfare campaign against Hopewell High School. You've been warned.
