The title of this backblast is in reference to Peyton Manning and not the pax member, Omaha.
Why title a backblast after one of the most famous audible calls in football, because I called multiple audibles this AM. First, I was not on the schedule, but Swing State, originally scheduled to Q, wanted to be at his MQ AO to greet Hacker whom he talked dinto Q'ing at Mighty Oak so I grabbed the Q…Audible #1.
I had a plan in mind but it wasn't set in stone as I wanted to be flexible based on the pax. As I rolled up to The Green, there were only 2 guys there. Given that it was raining we were considering the Pain Lab, an indoor stretching workout, we all could use that from time to time. At 7:29, I called Audible #2, we were going to head to the Pain Lab. Just as we were about to mosey down there another car pulls into the parking lot, I mention the plan to Hyster, who was apologizing for being almost late, and he kindly told me to go drop "one" in my hat…Audible #3, a reversal of Audible #2.
The Thang:
A quick warmup of SSH's, IST's, Windmills, slight stretching, and Mountain Climbers. Next we made our way to DUMC to pick up some bricks. Once the bricks were in hand it was off to Carrburritos. This was my orignal plan…head to Carrburritos and do a TPR version of The Horseshoe but as we were standing at the top of the hill I decided to change the route, Audible #4, we ran down S. Village Ln. took a quick left on Goodrum, then a quick right to run up Goodrum (yes, that is confusing, kind of like Queens Rd. in Charlotte). So, instead of a horsehoe route we were running more of an "S" route. The exercises were Merkins, Curls, CDD's, Squats, & Skull Crushers. Add one at the top of each hill until we did all five, then start dropping one each time. We did this with the bricks in our hands the whole time, the only time the bricks touched the ground was during the Merkins and CDD's
Once we were done, we headed back to DUMC to drop off the bricks and instead of going back to The Green, I decided we would head to the Pain Lab to finish out the workout…Audible #5.

Moleskin:
- Running for 35 minutes with bricks in your hands was not well received and now that my arm shakes every time I pick up my water, I do realize it was a dumb idea, fun, but still dumb.
- T-Claps to Hyster for not letting me take the easy way out, though a good stretch would not have been a bad thing.
- The honor of leading quality men in a workout is always humbling. One of my goals for 2018 is to get outside the walls of TPR not only to workout but to lead at different AO's
- This Sat., the gates will be open again as we celebrate 6 years of F3 in Davidson, please join us
Merry Christmas,
