Inspired by a recent social media post from Gambini demonstrating his exceptional leadership and manliness levels, I knew I wanted him to lead me in a run this morning. He accepted my plea for leadership with grace and courage and sent back a running route that was so meticulous and perfect in its details I started to quietly weep. No, I said, Gambini wouldn’t want me to weep, he would want me to be strong like he is. Strong like the mighty oak. I mean the tree, not the AO. We were joined by 9 Lives this morning (who somehow arrived via bicycle not truck all the way from his house!) on our epic route of 4.8 per google maps. BUT, instead of 4.8, we accomplished 4.9 miles – Gambini, even without the use of a spy watch, accurately predicted the route would be 4.9 miles and OF COURSE he was dead on. I immediately threw away my spy watch because who needs one running with the human distance calculator! What a great route – you gotta STK, but trust me, it was a great route, some say the best route ever, highest route score on Strava I had ever seen. Thanks to Gambini and 9 Lives for joining me this morning and to Beave for allowing Gambini the chance to lead.
