I present your Virtual Wilderness for April 16. "The woods are lovely, dark and deep" – Robert Frost
Rules:
1. Start at any time, and by the stroke of midnight on 4/16, post up here for credit in the backblast.
2. Fall out, and carry out the plan of ta day.
Step 1: Post at the Wilderness AO, the Wynfield Creek Clubhouse, or wherever you can during the 'rona.
Step 2: Mosey north up the Wynfield Creek Parkway (.3 miles), take a left (west) on Glade Court and mosey .1 miles to the end. There will be a cul-de-sac, take the sidewalk to the end into the Wilderness.
Step 3: Bear crawl down the concrete steps, get to the last step, 10 burpees, bear crawl back up the steps, 10 burpees, bear crawl back down the steps, you got it, 10 more burpees. Virt. PAX bear crawl for 30 yards and do 30 burpees.
Step 4: Take a left on the Dirtway down the path and mosey about 30 yards and find the wood pile. Pick out a log of wood. Vrit Pax pick out your favorite KB/dumbbell/water jugs/etc.
Step 5: 10x Full Curls, 10x O-Press (overhead), 10x Bent Rows, on your six, 10x chest press. Repeato.
Step 6: You've grown attacthed to your log. Bring it along. It will be fun.
Step 7: Continue down the path .1 mile to the Tunnel of It (Steven King fans will recognize). Lo Crawl thru the tunnel or Bear Crawl for 20 yards. Repeato. For extra points, push your token in front of you while you Lo/bear crawl.
Step 8: From the Tunnel of It, run east up Pristine court 50 yards to IKEA's house. 10x monkey humpers.
Step 9: Mosey back to the Dirtway (50 Yards) and continue south down the dirtway to Lizzie Lane, a mosey of about 1/3 mile. During that 1/3 mile, find a tree (Virt. Pax a wall) and do balls to the wall for a 30 count, and 20x Carolina Dry Docs, 20x walking lunges, 20x DEEP squats, and 20x Merkins. (modify as needed with your stick/coupon)
Ste[ 10: At Lizzie Lane, stack your logs off the side of the path and head East up Lizzie Lane to Ultraman's house. 10x Monkey Humpers, mosey up to Topgun's house, and 10x more Monkey Humpers. Feel free to get close enough to set of the Ring camera to record your posterior for posterity.
Step 11: Mosey 1/3 mile back up to the Clubhouse and finish up any time left in the 45 minutes with your choice of Mary. (Virt PAX mosey another 1/3 mile and Mary unitl 45 minutes of workout is complete).
Step 12: Mary to complete the 45 minutes.
Recover, recover.
Moleskin
Twas a cool morning with some reporting down to 36F, which is a good thing since the snakes would not be active. It was notable cooler down in the woods than up on the parkway.
The sticks offered a different type of challenge with the grip and a wider stance, as opposed to the normal type grip on a kettlebell. So make sure to post for the virtual Cauldron tomorrow and work a different set of muscles!
Five showed for the 0510 social distancing OTB. YHC then did a reverse course walkthrough with the 4.0 and 4.1 (dogs *scooby*Rocco and Goose) and saw the Ultraman on his six conducting chest presses with a rather big stick in his hands *twss* and then again has he completed his workout with Monkey Humpers *monkey* at casa de Topgun.
Timing for the event worked out pretty well, with just enough time to do 10x low flutters, dieing cockroaches, Dot the I (for Toxic) and of course, wrapped it up with 10x J Lo's for Amen.
Die Hard added for the third wave!
