4 of us practiced extreme social distancing this morning with “pods” spaced roughly 20′ apart. Since we often do exercises that are short, intense bursts, this workout is all about sustained effort…. stamina in the face difficulties.Warm up20 SSH15 Toy Soldiers15 Windmills5 Shoulder rotations each armThe Thang9 exercises only, each done for 5 minutes for max reps/effort with 1 min rest in between.PlankSquatsMountain ClimbersReverse Snow Angels (spicy)BurpeesJ-Lo’s (rough choice)Carolina Dry DocksLunges’Merkins (noodle arms by the end)NotesDandelion loves this format!Shirley opts for extra Merkins for no reasonRetread is a big fan of J-Lo…or she is a big fan of Retread!ReflectionWe often do things that are convenient and not too difficult when serving others – help someone move, spend a few hours cleaning a park, etc. These are all good and appreciated but what happens when we have to make a much bigger commitment? When it might involve months or years? We have to train ourselves to have stamina to continue to serve others for the long haul… endure to the end! Christ asked the young man to give away all he had – in other words, be 100% committed and not just to the easy stuff. Remember to train yourself to keep going at times, both physically (like F3), emotionally (like in your marriage), and intellectually (like dealing with a quarantine).Always an honor to be with you all. This was my first Q without integrating my anvil but we made it through anyway.Anvil
