Pandering to the Pax at Titan

AO

Today at Titan we made an honest attempt at a non repetitive workout.  No really!  No hill repeats, no Burpees, and the rain mostly held off.  Here is roughly what went down.

0504:  Solo run standard, scoping out a nice route.

0530:

WARM-O-RAMA:

We circled up in the parking lot, disclaimer given, in case there were any late joiners.

  • Good Mornings x 10 IC
  • Moroccan Night Clubs x 25 IC
  • Side Power Lunges x 10 IC (A.k.a. Willie Mays Hays)

The "Creative Route" Thing:

We ran in mostly straight lines, until we couldn't.  We used this roundabout to help some of the directionally challenged Pax (not YHC) stay together.  At the end of each straight segment, we did squats x 20 OYO; a total of 4 times.

The goal was to run each mile faster than the one before.  According to Strava, we achieved that:

  • Mile 1:  9:17
  • Mile 2:  8:53
  • Mile 3:  8:29

Note those are the Strava "smoothed out" times whereby it doesn't really tick time while we were stopped doing exercices.

During mile 1 we included the WARM-O-RAMA and Mile 2 had a couple of stops as well, so the actual time was ~15 minutes to complete the first mile, ~11 to complete the second, and 9 ish for the third.  Great work.

Mary:

  • 20 squats OYO to complete 100 for the day
  • Front leaning rest into Pax pandering er I mean calf stretches
  • Man Maker Elbow Planks x 10 IC
  • Crunchy frog x 10 IC
  • Low flutters x 25 IC
  • LBCs x 10 IC
  • Hamstring stretch

Recover, recover.  According to Garmin, we covered 3.14 miles (Pi).  Strava unhelpfully rounded us down to 3.13 miles.

Moleskin:

  1. Cheddar's path to F3 is different than many of ours.  His M was in FIA first then she heard about F3 and told him.  We let Cheddar know he's allowed 1 courtesy post at Titan before someone automatically signs him up for a relay race.  See you next Monday at Titan then bud?
  2. Jorel had to work last Monday while most of the bankers present today did not.  At least your company celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. day.  I'm glad we're both regulars lately at Titan and hopefully one of us wins the coveted Bourbon!…
  3. …so that Tantrum doesn't win again, lol.  He once told me he doesn't even like Bourbon anyway.  But just to be sure Jorel and YHC plan to fill up all the Qs and deny Tantrum another lottery ticket.
  4. Titan 5 miler is next Monday.  Looking at the website, Snake Eyes has a streak of 3 straight months (Dec, Jan, and Feb) hitting the 5 miler.  See you next week bud?
  5. Thank you Jaws for the opportunity to lead.  This was 5 straight Titans for me, and HC for the 5 miler next week.  6 straight would tie my personal Titan record.  And…would it afford me "Titan Regular" status once again my friend?

Solid work gents, appreciate all of you.
