5 men of Denver peppered their angus in preps for the coldest Murph so far this season. It has also been heard that at least one pax completed a make-up Murph in the PM hours. This is the first Murph at Mustang since more pull-up bars were added a few weeks ago. With this came a new 1 mile route. The new pull-up bars made for much better pull-ups as compared to a bunch of mostly over 40 year old men on childrens playground equipment. Some nagatives though… we must move across the grass to get to the pull-up bars, the austrailian pull-up bars are a couple hundred feet away, and there seems to be less light.
2 laps around the parking lot which include the short driveway to little egypt and the drop-off circle around the flag pole were required to get to 1 mile.
1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 'mericans
300 "squats"
1 mile run
Reflection
God is preparing you for something. (He always is really.) Right now YHC feels like he is beginning to go through what God was preparing him for for the last several years. Not sure why, but I'm supposed to go this way. Is it for even futher preparation? Sometimes the road is long, and sometimes it's short. Moses (the biblical one) went through a whole lot of preparation, and so did the Israelites. The sermon on Sunday was on this topic as God lead the Israelites to the promise land via the long way. They could have gone a shorter way, but the shorter way would have resulting in being ill prepared. Meanwhile the longer way allowed the Israelites to "pepper their angus".
Exodus 13: 17-17
17 When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” 18 So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea.[a] The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle.
