An over-zealous Bedrock MQ and newly converted Pickleball enthusiast failed to properly update the calendar to reflect the change of venue on Saturday to Holbrook Park.  Unfortunately Tobe-ster and Cubie showed with no Q 🙂  Forgiveness requested gents!

Swing State called another challenge and 11+ responded. YHC sure some are not account for here so please sound off in comments for those missing. 

We met for the second Saturday in a row at Holbrook Park in Huntersville for some friendly competition on the Pickleball Court.  Lots of new PAX that weren’t there last Saturday like Chilly, Mr Holland, Outlaw, Carpet Bagger and Omega joined in on the fun.

Noteworthy:  Omega took a vicious shot to his eye due to some scuffle with a very rude and obnoxious player from anther group.  Outlaw and Airstream quickly diffused the situation but not before this “other player” scratched Omega’s eye with her long fingernails. Trust me you had to be there to really get the full context.  This unfortunate incident is already making local H-ville news and causing Parks & Rec to reevaluate their sportsmanship guidelines at Holbrook.  

FAKE NEWS: Outlaw has agreed to provide Horseshoe Credit for those playing pickleball on Saturday.  Simple math shows that 90 minutes of pickleball is the equivalent to a 45 minute horseshoe.  It’s common sense.
