Sixteen merry men of the SweatShop, F3LKN's Premier Nighttime Workout, reported to the Green.
Warmup – Regular stuff.
The Pirate Ship XL Workout – Since SweatShop is F3LKN's Premier Nighttime Workout YHC rolled out an XL version of the Pirate Ship workout, which is modeled after the amusement park ride. Here's how it works…
Starting at the bottom of Jackson Street at the light pole nearest the Summit Coffee lot (all OYO)…
- Rd 1 – Run south up Jackson to the first light pole for 10 hand-release merkins then back to the start for three burpees. Run north up Jackson to the first light pole on that side for 10 hand-release merkins and back to the start for another three burpees.
- Rd 2 – Same pattern but to the second pole… south for 10 HR merkins and 10 squats; back to start for 3 burpees; north to the second pole for another 10 HR merkins and 10 squats; back to start for 3 burpees
- Rd 3 – 3rd pole on each side for 10 HR merkins, 10 squats, and 10 WW2 situps with 3 burpees each time passing start
- Rd 4 – Top of Jackson for 10 HR merkins, 10 squats, 10 WW2 situps, and 10 Carolina dry docks; 3 burpees at start; to the lot at Depot St for 10 HR merkins, 10 squats, 10 WW2 situps, and 10 Carolina dry docks; 3 burpees at start.
- Rd 5 (going back down) – 3rd pole on each side and drop the merkins
- Rd 6 – 2nd pole on each side, drop the squats
- Rd 7 – 1st pole on each side, drop the situps
When done, partner up with someone still going so the full group finishes together.
After a quick breather we headed back to the Green, BUT… the picnic tables behind Pickled Peach looked too nice to pass up so we hit a quick set of picnic table presses X 10 IC. Back to the Green for Mary until the closing bell.
COT – Congrats to Grouch on landing a new job – great work, brother! Reboot is dealing with a shoulder injury, hope to see him back in a few weeks.
