The wet conditions and therefore slick bleachers forced YHC to abandon plans for a stadium workout. Rogue's Slack suggestion of a trip on the Pirate Ship was accepted and also allowed us to test some enhancements to this routine…
The Jackson Street Pirate Ship:
Gather at the bottom of Jackson St (around the bottom of the parking lost behind Summit Coffee) which goes uphill to Main on one side and uphill to Depot St on the other.
Round 1 – Run toward Main and stop at the first light for ten Superman merkins. Back to the starting point for three burpees. Run to the first light on the Depot St side for ten more Superman merkins and back to the start for three burpees.
Round 2 – Run toward Main – stop at the first light for ten Superman merkins, stop at the second light for ten LBC, back to the first light for ten more SM merkins, and then to the start for three burpees. Repeat on the Depot side.
Round 3 – Same pattern as above adding ten jump squats at the third stop on each side (i.e., 10 SMM, 10 LBC, 10 JS, 10 LBC, 10 SPM, 3 Burpees X 2)
Round 4 – Same pattern adding 10 WW2 situps at the intersections of Jackson with Main and Depot (i.e., 10 SMM, 10 LBC, 10 JS, 10 WW2, 10JS, 10 LBC, 10 SPM, 3 Burpees X 2)
Round 5 – Starting to come back down…only go as far as the third stop and drop exercises ont the way back down (i.e., 10 SMM, 10 LBC, 10 JS, 3 burpees X 2)
Round 6 – Stop at the second spot as time was getting short (i.e., 10 SMM, 10 LBC, 3 burpees X 2). Back to the Green.
