Playing Cards in Traffic

A  few weeks ago The Force tweeted that he had a barely worn pair of KDs that were free to a good home.  I took him up on the offer and the Q this morning was payment.  It really should have been my 2.2 Bullseye that Q'd – he's the one benefitting from the shoe love.  Oh well……

We were 17 at 5:10 – and 18 after Titan joined us fashionably late.

Warm-o-rama

I was warned that we could not go on the new sod near the basketball courts- so we moseyed to the basketball court planning to avoid the sod – wait – the court is closed.  So we circled around the clubhouse circle.  All of your favorites: SSH, IST, Windmill, Mericans, Down Dog, Stretchy Stretchy.  Mosey to Hugh Torence Pkwy

THE THANG

Split into two equal groups on either side of the road for some Indian Running to the Traffic Circle

Once at the circle – I broke out the official F3 deck of pain – and Soprano cut the deck.  Any issues can be taken up with him.

I should have stated the following disclaimer – We will follow the exercise on the card picked from the top of the deck – mostly.  The number or face on the card will not dictate the number of reps.  The Q reserves the right to skip cards, modify cards and/or generally make game time decisions.  None of this activity needs the endorsement of anyone other than the Q.  Your comments will be heard – but generally ignored – – – except for The Count – who added tremendous value on our run to Travolta's House.

We got through about half the deck.  It seemed like things were farily Merkin heavy (see above note on Soprano's influence).

Thank goodness someone had a headlamp – unfortunately, just like Saul Rosenberg – I can't see so good.  And the gloom wasn't helping at all.  Why do they make the print on those cards so small?

Once we wrapped up at the traffic circle – we Indian Ran back to the launch site.

Recover, Recover

Hit me with the Queen of Hearts Moelskine

– I love me some Wilderness.  What a great group of men.  Swimming in the cement pond has kept me away from other Thursday workouts – but schedule will be chaning soon, and The Wilderness will defintiely be in my rotation.

– Titan biked during the workout – and provided a nice rabbit for our Indian Run home.  This was appropriate, because where Titan is from, the Rabbit is a highly revered animal.  (Of course no one knows exactly where that is – except Titan.)

– Prayers up for Red October, Ultra Mans Dad Mindy (knee replacement) and the wife of The Count's co-worker who is having surgery.

– HDHH May 1 – 6:00pm at Crafty Beer Guys for F3 Beer Can Release.  Go there after you post at Night Ranger.

– Always an honor and a privilege to be with you fine men.

Peace,

Holiday
