Had a great weekend filled with 2nd F activities like Dad’s Camp and H2C.  Preblasted Monday is a time to focus on fitness, because well. . . that’s what we are ultimately here for.  The RMC had a down week last week and looking to kick off a big week with getting in some miles.

The THANG

1 mile pre-standard on the track.  Circle back for 3 mile standard launching from Bailey Road Park with loops through Bailey’s Glen back to launch of Fireball at 0530.   Coach Optimist requested avoiding the hill work on Bailey Springs due to back pain recovery so route was a repeto of last week – Bailey Spring’s to Washam Potts to Tryon loop, back down 115 to Bailey Springs.  Route is part of the 10-12 mile tempo route launching from BRP.

·       Somehow T-Bone jumped off a plane from Portland and came to post at Fireball.  Back to back Coast to Coast post.  We all thought he came for coffee but looks like he got in some much needed Recovery work.

·       Weather was amazing this morning.  Heard many comments that mornings like this is why we run.

·       Because of the weather, the RMC (Richmond Marathon Crew) consisting of Garcia, Optimist, Daisy, The Count and yours truly ran easy at 9min / mile pace.  We were recounting all the fun we had at Dad’s Camp this weekend and didn't push the pace. It was awesome.

·       The usually group was joined by Jenny, Hippie, Omaha and Murdock.  Note to self that some come to Fireball to lay down some speed.  Very strong run men leading the way.

·       When I grow up I want to be Hippie.  Much respect to the athlete he is.  2nd time I’ve run with him and he is always pushing the pace.  Always amazed by strength of his running on top of biking.

·       Mumble chatter on the safety of the route today.  With school back in session will probably retire this Fireball route for a while.  Will need to go back to training with the Safety MQ, The Count

COT

·       Hippie brought up the F3 Comedy Night.  Check Twitter.

·       Big ups to Garcia this weekend, with the Around the Crown 10k race.  MRC and F3 LKN are rooting for you to run strong and represent this weekend!
