#MarriageMonday kicked off recapping last months question that was posed: If your boss asked you to write a 30 day plan of what you would do to get your next promotion, could you/have you done it? What if your next promotion was being a good husband judged by your wife?
Quick consensus was no one had done it. What do we risk in not writing that plan? What do we risk by not putting into action change in our marriages and instituting accountability? YHC asked the pax to keep that in mind throughout this morning and as we move forward.
Exodus 20: 3-6
We discussed the different idols that exist in today's society and how we can start to recognize and address these idols. Money, success, love, power all among the common responses. Also, discussed how the toughest idols to identify stem from good things with work and in our marriages. Enjoy in moderation was the theme of the day.
We didn't get to Colossians 3: 1-5 but if you have time this week, it is worth the read and reflection.
Praying for awareness this week. Awareness of the daily moments where Christ shows himself to us and all he asks is for us to listen, trust, and love.
MOLESKIN
- Was semi-worried about not bringing any cash in case of a smashed pumpkin and then Etch grabs a $25 pumpkin
- No pumpkins were injured during the entirety of this workout
- The boys scouts have a lot of pumpkins left if you still need one
- Pumpkin scented uhhh stuff was the topic of the day
- Awesome to see Fenway out at #TheBerean…keep comin' back brother
- Missed Earl Gray this AM as he starts up the new place
- Tweetsie, Fenway, and PT were flying as they sprinted to the finish fo their run…strong work
- Flyby from Auto, Lego, and Perrier on their way to Murph…stop and join us next time
