Red Baron in the Rain

Rainy days – they're never as bad as you think they will be.  We made sure we got our running in (and Hurley the dog's) while staying off the wet ground.

Here's what we did:

A while ago, Jersey Boy created a workout called the Red Baron, which he named after some obscure 60's song.  10, 20, 30, 40, 50 something something something, but the gist was we did 10 reps of an exercise, ran 200m, did 20, ran, etc., etc.  So today, I thought we would do it in reverse.  So we ran the opposite direction around the soccer field and counted down with reps instead of up — and we started at 40, because that just made sense to me.

Warm-o-Rama

We took a lap of the field and then moseyed to Broadway for COP, with the following:

SSH, IST, Toy Soldier, Dwight Shrute, windmill, Mericans.  (Get 'em while it's dry)

Then moseyed back to the soggy, rainy field:

The Thang:

See above, but the exercises were all things to stay off of the ground.  Squats, Tippy Bird, Backward Lunge, calf raises, and Side bends.  All-in-all, 2.7 miles and a bunch of reps.

Mary:

Moseyed back to Broadway for low flutter, pillow talk, and low W (Jersey said he thought it was more of an "M").

Moses led some stretchy stuff — hips, hammies, calf, etc.

We counted off and Moses took us out.

Moleskine:

– Soggy day for sure, and a little cold but we warmed up adequately.

– Boar Hog provided the laughs, as always, and hopefully we got Hurley plenty of miles.  Good to have you back from your long trip.

– Hopefully plenty of miles for Moses as well, who is ramping up his P200 training.  He suggested the Tippy BIrd, which I'm sure I will be feeling tomorrow.

– I missed coffeeteria this morning, but Jersey Boy sent several texts with follow-up info, so it must have been a great conversation!  Always hate to miss the 2nd F after a workout when I don't have the time.

Thanks all — and thanks JB for keeping Bailey Road Park alive.
