Pax:
You have seen several recent leadership changes in our region. In many organizations this would be cause for concern. However, in F3, it is cause for celebration! In the business world, we look at longevity and tenure as solid foundation upon how the company's leadership will perform and how stable that company is for the challenges that await. But here, in F3, we are running a leadership school with elements of fitness, fellowship, and faith. The challenges are what we take on ourselves. A leader in our region should be working to develop new leaders to take their place. To "graduate" them to higher levels of responsibility in our group which fortifies their confidence in taking on even bigger challenges with their faith, family, jobs, or in our community. Whether it is a Master Q, an Officer, a member of the Board of Directors, or a Nantan, we are all called to be leaders and to develop others. Today, we are taking action to redefine who we are and what we do.
1st, we are no longer F3 Isotope. We are F3 Lake Norman. This is a change that the Board, the Officers & I have discussed heavily and we believe will satisfy a major need of this region. It relates to our community. Our mission is to plant, serve and grow small workout groups for the reinvigoration of male community leadership. Our communities associate with Lake Norman. It spreads to all areas of our region, from Mountain Island to Race City and from Denver to Davidson. Every potential FNG is familiar with Lake Norman and it’s about time we become familiar with them. The Isotope brand is strong and meaningful. We respect the efforts that were made to build that brand, therefore, it will remain the name of the Huntersville & Cornelius Sub region.
2nd, we are expanding our leadership opportunities. Eventually (not today, but in due time), every sub region (Race City, Davidson, Mountain Island Lake, Denver & Isotope) will have their own 1st, 2nd, & 3rd F Qs as well as their own Comz Q. Some of you already have that structure and are ahead of the game. The others will grow into it with identifying key Pax who will be asked to step up and lead (FYI, its better if you step up without being asked). What this does is effectively triple our number of "officers" from 8 to 24. This includes 4 officer roles that, due the nature of the position, are better served to cover the entire region (Nantan, CSAUP, Marketing & Finance). In addition, each sub region will have representation on our F3 Lake Norman Board of Directors.
With this addition of leadership positions and separation of the sub regions, one could say it divides us even more than we are today. But I believe it will bring us together. With this model we have designated points of contact for each sub region to share ideas, concerns, and to help each other grow in strength by quantity and quality. This model helps promote each sub region to take on their own methods of what works in their community and paves the path for growth in all areas.
We have all been blessed with this gift of F3, on behalf of the founders, Dredd & OBT, and Moses along with the OGs who brought it to this area, I challenge you to take full advantage of what is in front of you. It is rare and it is special. The best friends I have ever had are part of this group, men that I would trust my family to, men that I trust myself to. That feeling is not something to be held, but it is to be shared. A few years ago I was praying for something that I didn't know existed, and Black Eyed Pea had the generosity to share it with me. I challenge each one of you, and myself, to go find that person that is praying for it now, and share it. The time is now!
AYE!
