Does Your Hardship Have Purpose?
Joseph finally breaks down and reveals to his brothers who he is. Got me thinking about the contrast in his life and the promises of God.
Joseph was given a dream about being the leader that his brothers would bow down to. At the time Joseph could only see what that meant for his personal gain.
Without the struggles of his life, being sold into slavery, living in a dungeon, and of course constantly relying on God, Joseph would have little perspective to address the promises God had for his life.
Joseph's purpose (one of many) from God was to preserve the children of Israel from which all nations would be blessed.
What hardship have you been through and what is God preparing you to do? You must be on constant lookout so that your hardships are not wasted.
